Thats just Dallas. You cant reasonably walk anywhere even if on a map it looks like it should be 10-15 minutes, its instead 35-50 minutes in disgusting heat and humidity. Maybe if they had less highways, more sidewalks, and narrower roads it would be more inviting for walking but instead they want to be a suburb with a downtown and maybe like 2 walkable neighborhoods.
Awesome video! Shout out to Simon for his extensive knowledge about pretty much every public transport system in Denmark! And shout out to you for the unique perspective that you give on Danish public transport! :)
Thank you!
Where I live in DC I commonly see people in wheelchairs going up escalators. It was pretty shocking when I first saw it. Of course if the station isn’t level boarding than it doesn’t even matter🥲
Really?? Every station in DC has elevators though!
@@MilesinTransit Yeah it’s great! But I often see them out of order or under maintenance. Which sucks especially where I live near King Street-Old Town station there’s 3 elevators but if one was out of order the closest is across a 4 lane stroad (with no crossing light) and the other is a decent distance away. I love how WMATA has elevators at all stations but they have a few flaws when it comes to maintenance. The only wheelchair users I see using escalators are the people with non motorized wheelchairs and it’s only when either someone is already waiting for the elevator, or during morning/evening rush. I’ve also seen it happen in European cities as many stations (at least in Poland) don’t have elevators.
I live in VT and OOB was always my family's dummer beach vacation destination. We always drove over there and back, stayed at a beachside motel or campground. But I'd like to try riding the train there.
Miles, I think you put Jordan in your videos because they're the only person more cynical than you
I put Jordan in my videos because he's funny! (I will also say the voicemail thing was totally Nathan's doing, I had no idea they recorded that!)
Poor bid is my favorite miles meme
With that ending, I'm expecting Miles' followers will soon start replacing their avatars with ferrysonas
Great video, just a reminder that you are being loud and obnoxious on the trains. Would have loved if there was more narration as to not make others uncomfortable.
I'm surprised it took this long to get a comment like this! It's not my style to do narration, but I do sometimes forget that public transit is a lot...quieter in Europe than it is in the states 😬
@@MilesinTransit great response love the Videos I would just love (like most of us Danes), if the trains are quiet
all this ferry luv recently. thank you... more ferries pls.
Your parents definitely have a Boston accent and yours is much thicker than usual with them lol!
One day, try making a tiny little corner opening to really pressurize the cream cheese and put it on in thin ribbons like Toaster Strudel icing-style. Eager to hear your thoughts after using this technique.
I watch this channel all the time so this isnt an accusation or anything, but I have to say you guys are nerds.
Fair enough!
Since the filming of this Video diner 10 has been demolished
flerbleglarble
Ending not preachy at all…just truth! 👊😊👊
The green oval lights on the back doors are my fondest memories of riding these types of buses in New York as a kid. That, and the woman’s voice that *screamed* “PLEASE,,,, do *NOT* stand in the rear door well🙂”
I like when you question of the water rapids are being harnessed for energy.... and directly behind you is a large, hard to miss, hydroelectric dam! There also used to be a giant wind-turbine right at that spot, but that was a whole debacle. Only produced 5% of promised power. The town eventually took the loss and tore it down. OOB is mostly a ghost town outside of summer.
We need more fucking trains here omg
Can you please outline the bus routes that got you from New London to Providence?
SEAT 108, SEAT HOP, RIPTA 204, RIPTA 14
Thai Thai is great!
The M/V Outward bound is the 5th ferry built for thompsons Island service, by Gladding and Hearn a famous boat builder
I thought seriously for a moment you were going to let the boat go and walk to the bus stop at low tide.
Had it been low tide maybe...
You should go to Blacksburg Va and ride their fantastic small town bus system. They just opened a new transit center.
Let’s hear it for Miles and his POOR BID! 👊❤️👊
I like the woman trying to cross before the train, as her kids follow kinda-quickly, and the dude seems to want to get hit
I used to work around the corner from route 128 and I used to take it to new york all the time. It was pretty excellent.
Just found this channel and it's great, but you guys need mics. Your sound quality is distractingly awful. Excellent content though.
It feels like you've never been in a big city, or possibly never left the house. Curves are banked, there aer signs on all mass transit systems, public drinking fountains are always a crap shoot. I'm not saying don't make the video just get a handle on what is actually bazaar.
You might want to look at the channel archives to discover the various places I've traveled; and you might want to learn how to spell "bizarre."
Really enjoying watching your experiences using public transport across America. You have an amazingly relaxed approach.....considering the insanity of connections hit and misses through no fault of your own on any given journey. 'Sid' operates in the UK and i've often found Megabus more reliable and certainly cheaper than the national alternative National Express.
Thank you!
Nautical nonsense, I love boats :)

i think my favorite part was the time capsule song. an epic ballad for an epic video. ty <3
8:50 the axe is for, if a poor guy got handcuffed below decks while the ferry is sinking, the rich girl he met earlier amd got her to leave her fiancè for him can use that axe to cut his handcuffs and free him.
Cool
Watching in 2024. I think miles is unhinged
Ohh
I think if 100% of the party with you asks to be redacted in the video...you should have reconsidered even shooting the video.
They invited me :p
Doesn't matter? I would have used that as a scouting trip to help plan the shoot; then go back and do a proper shoot. I mean I get the impromptu videos are a popular format; but when I spend the majority of my time watching redacted sections I have to ask is...is it really about making quality content people want to watch? Back in my day...if people had invited you to film them and then said they needed to be censored out; they were doing it at your expense to make you look foolish.
This place looks so great. Wonderful video. Great vibes.
Thank you!
My favorite college point route only cuz it was my former home route. :> I love the Q38 although their terminals are like 7 mins apart

I used to work in the Boston Seaport and it's super underrated for watching planes/ships. Check out Pleasure Bay close by on a warm summer day too, really nice place to swim, back when i was following water quality at South Boston beaches it was consistently one of the cleanest spots too (that was 2022 tho)
Physical tickets?? Are you kidding me. What are you, American?? lol

Consistently informative and entertaining. The always literate and very well-spoken Nathan adds a lot when he is traveling with you, Miles. Thanks, guys.
Thank you!
Wow, you guys caught all the graffiti trains. Not actually that common.
Wish people would stop tagging. Used to be a more innocent thing, but these days it's almost always losers from some gang trying to mark "their" territory. As for thanking the bus driver - I guess it depends on the area. I feel it's fairly common around Aarhus.
